Ghost Train

This weekend we went on a little "camping" trip with my family. We trailor camped in Great Basin National Park. On Sunday we drove into Ely, NV to ride the Ghost Train. Cody was so excited to ride a "Choo Choo" he could hardly contain himself.

This was the steam engine that had a really loud whistle. It was so much fun to see all the trains. A lot of men in my mom's family worked for the railroad. She said that seeing all of the old train cars, engines, and water towers brought back so many memories of her childhood. They had a building that contained a lot of different engines, a crane car (it can lift 100 tons), and it was very dirty!! All the kids had to have a bath after being in there.
This is a picture of my parents with all the Grandkids that were there. They do so many fun things with the kids.

The kids were a crack up. They were so excited for the train and loved it. Little Miss Anni is at the posing age.

The kids had a lot of fun riding the train. It did go a little slow and by the end they were having a hard time sitting still, but overall they did pretty good.

This looks like it was so much fun. Matt hates to camp, but I am working on him. I am glad that Cody had a blast with the trains, and the clay pidgeon launching:)
